“It was just “fine””

“​​Avoid the Travelodge at Lake of the Woods. At $292, it’s massively overpriced for a premier, highly touristic area. The building is unmaintained, hallway carpets are stained, and the room was dark and tiny with filthy chairs. Plus, the pool was closed and the lawn overgrown. Terrible. #TravelWarning”

“we asked for our. money back because we booked for 2 adults and when we got to the room it just had a double bed! the picture on expedia showed two beds. Bottom line, false advertising or they gave us a room for. a single person because they did not. reserve a proper room for us. in future we want the actual room number reserved for us so we can call motel and confirm room number and identify fraud if that is going on”

“The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very personable. The parking was secure, indoors and free. The entire hotel is under renovation but our stay was very acceptable for us knowing ahead of time it was a work in progress.”

“Check in for this place is across a very busy street. Staff was not friendly. In the room, even though the sheets were clean, the floor was so dirty we had to throw our socks in the garbage. I wiped a small spot on the floor with a wet wipe. The entire floor was the same. Unacceptable! The price we paid was ridiculously high for what we experienced. I would not recommend the Travelers Inn, Kenora Ontario.”

“Suite in a 4 suite, 100 year old building in the downtown. Convenient location with a view of the lake. Clean, quiet rooms. Room had all the amenities, coffee, tea etc. and the owner baked every night and served fresh home baking for breakfast. Definitely worth the money......”

“Truthfully, there was a storm that left the hotel without power for 5 hours the evening of our stay. Room was clean, person checking us it was friendly, property had some DYI updates that didnt seem to be professionally installed, property could use a bit more tlc. For the night a good affordable safe feeling place.”

“Very reasonable price. Had an outdoor bbq with a propane tank we used to grill a steak we bought in the town, tossed a bagged Cesar salad, and opened a bottle of wine. Enjoyed a beautiful meal and evening at the picnic table. Owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!”
